The Southeast Lung Alliance is dedicated to making a difference in the mortality and morbidity of lung cancer in the Southeastern United States by early detection of lung cancer with the increase utilization of lung cancer screening and prevention of lung cancer with successful programs in smoking cessation.
Lung cancer screening is not a test; it is a coordinated program that relies on proven criteria for assessment of risk and well-defined methods and protocols for evaluation of individuals with abnormalities identified by screening.
Tobacco use is the single most important cause of preventable death and nicotine is one of the most addicting substances known. We provide access to a variety of smoking cessation programs for those who are motivated to live tobacco free.
The Southeast Lung Alliance is dedicated to perfecting and improving the screening process for lung cancer and smoking cessation and deploying this process within our region with the goal of saving lives.
